Reiki / Energy Healing
Reiki is the most well known energy work healing system in the United States. Developed in 1922 under Japanese Buddhist Mikao Usui, Reiki has since exploded into the West due to both its efficacy and ease to learn.
Reiki is most often done by having the patient lay down and the practitioner using either very light touch or a hands off approach to move the energy of the body, mind, and spirit. Both approaches affect the patient's Etheric Field which can radiate up to 50 feet off a person's body. When Ki Energy is either stagnant, excess, or defiecient, pain and imbalance results. When Ki is sent into the body's Etheric field through the hands of the practitioner, this allows the body's etheric field to balance out. The treatment itself typically causes a deep state of relaxation in the patient. During a Reiki treatment, the Reiki practitioner may pick up on subtle energy cues and will often use their intuition to harmonize the body's energy by working on specific acupuncture points, emotions, or having the patient breath a certain way, or other methods.
Reiki is more or less an intuitive art that relies on the practitioner's innate ability to feel the etheric field. Reiki Energy is the same energy that acupuncturist use in Chinese Medicine called Qi (Chi). Reiki by nature can do no harm as Reiki Energy is said to go to where the patient needs it the most.
Reiki is not meant to diagnose or treat any illness, but is a supplement to your ongoing medical care.
Reiki treatments are approximately 30 mins long and cost $35.
